TRS rebels threaten protest

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, APRIL 29. Dissidents belonging to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) have threatened to hold protests if the party joins the new government, in the event of a Congress victory in the election.

The dissidents who floated the TRS Workers Forum a few days ago said they would bring a truckload of demonstrators from all the Telangana districts on the day of the swearing in of the new government.

Incidentally, the TRS president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, had given a call to the people on the eve of the last local body elections to hurl stones at party members who betrayed the cause of Telangana.

Speaking to presspersons here on Thursday, the forum convenor, P. Yadagiri, TRS candidate for Karimnagar Assembly seat, K. Mruthyunjayam, and other rebels said the forum had decided to give a call for boycott of Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao for driving the party to `liquidation.'
