CHANDIGARH, APRIL 29. Shiromani Akali Dal president Parkash Singh Badal today described the statement of Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh that he had referred the probe against his son Raninder Singh in the reported Punjab Intranet scam to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) an ``act of brazen lie''. Mr Badal, in a statement here, dared the Chief Minister to make public the letter written by him to the ED or the Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) referring the case to the Central agencies. The SAD president also asked the Chief Minister to clarify as to what the Nehra Commission was doing now if the case stood referred to the DRI and the ED. ``I challenge him (Capt Singh) to dissolve this Commission if there is even a grain of truth in his assertion that he had himself referred the case to the DRI or ED,'' he said. Mr Badal said the fact was that the DRI was already investigating the case of Raninder and this was in spite of the refusal of the Punjab Government to refer this case to the Directorate. No less a person than the Union Minister of Law Arun Jaitley has confirmed it in public, he said. Mr Badal alleged that on both the loan waiver and the Raninder hawala case issues, Capt Singh had been crossing all limits in falsehood. Referring to the allegations against his son Sukhbir Singh Badal, Mr Badal said even on this issue, the Chief Minister was indulging in lying. ``There is no case made out even in the challan against Sukhbir so far,'' Mr Badal said. -- UNI
