Three hit centuries

KARAIKUDI, APRIL 29. There were three centuries in the Indian Bank - Sivagangai District Cricket Association `A' division league held during the weekend.

Balamurugan's 137 (7x6, 14x4) helped Devakottai CC `A' register a 50-run win over Tamil Nadu Chemicals Private Ltd. CC while Chandran (103) and Subramani (108) took Vanchi to an 85-run victory over Sachin Brothers.

`A' division: Devakottai CC `A' 274 in 46 overs (Balamurugan 137, Kumaran 33, Sirababu four for 41, Vijayakumar three for 60) bt TCPL CC 224 (Solaiappan 35, Jallaludeen 26, Sankar 36, Vijayakumar 28, Selvaganapathy three for 38, Karthikeyan three for 66).

Vanchi CC 316 in 50 overs (Chandran 103, Subramani 108, Sasi four for 50) bt Sachin Brothers CC 231 in 36 overs (Selvam 38, Pandi 63, Murugaraj 45, Sunil three for 38).

`B' division: KTCC 138 in 30 overs (Richard 29, Babu three for 19) lost to Devakottai CC `B' 142 for four in 28 overs (Kannan 37, Muniasamy 25, Babu 32 not out).

Gangai Brothers CC 296 for four in 30 overs (Balakrishnan 25, Senthil Raja 50, Boominathan 88 not out, Sikkander Raja 34, Balasubramani 37) beat Sunlight CC 129 in 28 overs (Dharmaraj 50 not out).

Sivagangai CC 59 in 16 overs (David four for 20) lost to Devakottai CC `B' 62 in 15 overs (Babu 25).

`C' division: Star Birds CC 217 for nine in 29 overs (Rabeek 82, Ganesh Prabu 26, P. Pandi 44) beat Moonlight CC 129 in 22 overs (Shahul Hameed 29, Rabeek three for 36).

Telecom CC 214 for six in 30 overs (Palaniappan 34, Pushpanarayanan 42, K. Saravanan 39 not out, Balaji 31) bt Jolly Rovers CC 77 in 17 overs (K. Saravanan three for 14, Jaffer Ali three for 20).

Moonlight CC 102 in 23 overs (Jeevan 25, Muthukumaran three for 12) lost to Oscar CC 103 for four in 21 overs (Vijay 25, Annas 25).

Jolly Rovers CC 194 in 28 overs (Murugan 33, Raja 46, Kumar three for 33) tied with Moonlight CC 194 in 29 overs (Arun 63, Kumar 25, Rajesh three for 28, Rajaram three for 27).
