Congress demonstration
Addressing the protestors, the Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress chief, Rajesh Lilothia, alleged that police along with BJP workers had torn hoardings belonging to R.K Anand, the Congress candidate for South Delhi, on Jail Road and Jai Road last night. "These hoardings were pasted on a private property and the police has no power to remove them as they were not on a public property and do not violate the West Bengal Public Property Defacement Act." Demanding that prompt action be taken against erring police officials, Mr. Lilothia alleged that the police were being "undemocratic and working partially under the influence of the BJP-led Government".
