PONDICHERRY, APRIL 30. The additional professor of Physiology, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (New Delhi), S.C. Mahapatra, has underscored the need to manage diabetes through simple dietary and lifestyle modifications. He was presenting a special lecture today on `nutritional management of diabetes mellitus', organised by the Scientific Society in JIPMER here. Dr Mahapatra is carrying out research in the field of diabetes mellitus for last fifteen years and he focussed the contents of his talk on the basis of his research findings, the secretary of the Scientific Society, Gopal Krushna Pal, said.
