State's views to be sent to Task Force

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
APRIL 30
. The State Government will communicate its views on the proposed Central legislation on compulsory education of children to the Central Task Force on Educational Reforms.
The Minister for Education, Nalakath Soopy, told The Hindu after talks with the Task Force here on Friday that the Government had asked the Principal Secretary (Higher Education), K. Mohandas, to communicate the State Government's views to the Task Force.
The five-member Task Force, headed by Anand Swarup, called on the Minister on a fact-finding mission and exchange of views. Mr. Swarup and the members stressed the need to improve the overall performance of the students and talent development, during the talks.
