KOLLAM, APRIL 30. The general secretaries of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), K.S. Nasser and Kunnathur Srinivasan, said here today that reports on the PDP having extended support to the LDF in those constituencies where the party had not fielded a candidate were baseless. The PDP candidates are contesting from seven constituencies in the State. Addressing a press conference, they said that while the PDP had categorically stated that the party would not support the UDF, this should not be misinterpreted as support to the LDF. The party top brass would meet next week and take appropriate a decision on extending support to whom in which constituency, they added.
