Coming to blows
HARARE: A Zimbabwe cricket selector and National board member got into a shoving match over the month-long boycott by the players.
Stephen Mangongo, convenor of selectors, and Ozias Bvute, a director of Zimbabwe Cricket Union, got into a heated argument in front of officials, security staff and guests at the Harare Sports Club after the one-day international between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka on Thursday.
The two men, in a statement issued through the ZCU on Friday, denied reports that they threw fists over selection of white players in the national team.
``There were pertinent issues on the agenda and both of us had divergent views on those issues,'' the statement said. `
