CUDDAPAH, MAY 1. The LIC Employees Union divisional president, A. Raghunatha Reddy, on Saturday called upon employees and workers to rededicate themselves on May Day to carrying on struggles for safeguarding the LIC and other public sector undertakings, irrespective of Governments to be elected. Addressing the May Day celebrations after hoisting the union flag in the LIC divisional office, Mr. Reddy charged the Government and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) with favouring private insurance companies to compete against the LIC, which had no match in the world.
