Kurnool
By Our Staff Reporter
KURNOOL, MAY 1. The president of Andhra Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Managements' Association, V. Janardhan Reddy, has urged the Lok Ayukta and the State Government to probe the issue of a single institution securing State level ranks consecutively for two years. In a statement, he said the SSC topper secured 589 marks, which means the student got 98 per cent in each subject. Mr. Reddy said educationists who had been in the field for several decades feel it was quite unnatural for a student to secure 98 per cent in all subjects including languages. Mr. Reddy said the top two ranks were secured by the students of the same school in Hyderabad. Last year too, the school secured top ranks. Referring to the alleged misappropriation in the evaluation of answer sheets at Kurnool centre, Mr. Reddy said the scandal was prominently reported by the media last month, according to which the marks of a student were changed from 67 to 97 in one subject.
