Ajeetesh, Vaishavi are India's best bet
NEW DELHI,
MAY 1.
Ajeetesh Sandhu and Vaishavi Sinha will be India's best bet in the 25th Asia Pacific golf championship to be held at the Damai Indah Golf and Country Club, Bumi Serong, Indonesia, from May 4 to 7.
A nine-member squad, including four girls, forms the Indian challenge for the team honours.
Ajeetesh Sandhu and Gaganjeet Bhullar will be part of the field for those between 15 and 17 years.
In the 13-14 years category, according to the Indian Golf Union secretary, General Satish Aparajit, two players out of the three named in the team, Fatehbir Dhaliwal, Raghav Wahi and Amanjyot Singh, would eventually make it.
Among the girls, Vaishavi Sinha, the youngest in the team, along with National runner-up Manvi Halwasia and Bhavna Shetty will be the playing members.
Mehgna Bal is the reserve. These girls made the team following a trial held at two courses in Gurgaon last month.

Boys: Ajeetesh Sandhu, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Fatehbir Dhaliwal, Raghav Wahi and Amanjyot Singh. Non-playing captain: Gaurav Ghosh.
