Dravid visits The Nest
By Our Special Correspondent
CHENNAI,
MAY 1.
Indian vice-captain Rahul Dravid interacted with the residential trainees of the The Nest, a cricketing school run by former India opener V.B. Chandrasekar at Kelambakkam on Saturday.
"I came here four years ago, and things have really improved. V.B. always looks to set new boundaries. The youngsters have a great chance to learn from him. His knowledge of the game is of top order,'' said Dravid.
Chandrasekar said Dravid remained a simple person despite his great successes for the country. He said Dravid had visited The Nest on the inauguration of its first summer camp in 2001 and he was back here again.
Speaking to the aspirants, Dravid dwelt on the importance of `desire and hard work' and stressed the need for the young cricketers to learn to "enjoy the game'' without bothering about rewards. "The motivation has to come from within.''
