Match abandoned

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 1. Rain forced the Thiruvananthapuram district `A' division cricket match between Murugans CC and Masters CC to be abandoned at the Medical College ground here on Saturday.

The match was declared as a draw.

Chasing 213 for a win off 45 overs, Mugurans was 40 for no loss off 5.5 overs when heavy rain forced the umpires to call off the match.

The scores:

Masters CC 212 in 43.3 overs (Manikantan 45, Joseph Lawrence 31, Radhakrishnan six for 61) v Murugans CC 40 for no loss in 5.5 overs.
