DINDIGUL, MAY 1. The Collector, P. Senthil Kumar, today said gram sabha meetings would be held in all village panchayats in the district on June 6. In a release here, he said that normally gram sabha meeting would be held on January 26, May 1, August 15 and October 2 to verify records in every quarter in a year. As per an election code, government programmes should not be held till the completion of all poll related works for the Lok Sabha elections. The district administration, in a separate instructions to all panchayats, advised to postpone meetings to June 6 as per section 3 (2) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act 1994.
