MANGALORE,
MAY 1.
While Manchi Kalasha Mahila Yakshagana Mandali will stage "Narakasura Moksha" on May 2, Cherkadi Kalashri Janapada Balakiyara Mela will perform "Sri Krishna Parijatha" and Mahila Yakshagana Kala Sangha, Adyanadka, "Bhaktha Sangarama" on May 3. The Odiyur Gurudeva Mahila Kalakendra will present "Datta Karunya" on May 4.
The next day, Alangaru Shreegandha Mahila Yakshagana Kalavedike will perform "Babruvahana Kalaga" while Bikarnakatte Akshatha Mahila Kalavrunda will stage "Bhasmasura Mohini" on May 6.
On May 7, Katipalla Mahaganapathi Yakshagana Mandali will perform "Shashiprabha Parinaya" and Mahalakshmi Mahila Yakshagna troupe will stage "Mahishamardini" the next day.
The performances will start at 6.30 p.m. Also, "Gayathri Homa" will be held during the six days.
The valedictory of the women's Yakshagana week and religious ceremonies will be held on May 9. The seer of Kukke Subrahmanya Math, Vidyaprasanna Tirtha Swamji, the seer of Odiyur, Gurudevananda Swamjii, and the seer of Manila Shree Dhama, Mohandas Swamiji, and Yogananda Swamiji will participate in the valedictory function.
