COIMBATORE, MAY 1. The Arasi Institute of Handwriting Training and Research Centre, a unit of the Sujeys Educational Trust, will conduct a free handwriting training programme from May 2 to 8 at the CSI Primary School.

Special pujas will be conducted at the Sri Yoga Narasimhar Temple, R.S. Puram, on May 3 for Narasimha Jayanthi, according to a release.

Appeal

The Coimbatore Human Rights Forum (CHRF) has called upon the State and Union Governments to protect the freedom of press.

It also called for withdrawal of cases against mediapersons and urged journalists to reflect upon issues of press freedom and professional ethics, according to a release from V.P. Sarathi, chairperson of the CHRF.
