Partly cloudy sky

Partly cloudy sky with a likely maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius is the forecast for Sunday. The city on Saturday recorded a maximum temperature of 37.4 degree Celsius, minimum temperature of 26.1 degree Celsius with a relative humidity of 28 per cent and nil rainfall.

Miladun-Nabi public meeting

A public meeting is being organised at the Exhibition Grounds, Mozamjahi Market on May 3, in connection with Miladun-Nabi (birthday of Prophet Mohammed). The meeting will commence at 8.30 a.m. It will be presided by Mohammed Abdul Rahim Qureshi, president, All India Majlis Tameer-e-Millat.

Certificate course

The Tourism and Hospitality Training Centre of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department has invited applications from candidates for its six-month certificate course in Travel Agency and Tour Operations Management. Admission is already in progress for the course, for which the eligibility is Intermediate with good communication skills. Candidates should be below 30 years of age. Those interested can contact the training in-charge at the centre on the third floor of the FDC Building at AC Guards or over phone numbers 23326154, 23319363 and 23319886.

Summer camp

The Salar Jung Museum is organising a 20-day summer camp for children in the age group of 8 to 15 years. The subjects to be covered at the camp include drawing and sketching, puppet making, flower making, paper cutting, oil painting, pot painting, story telling, gallery visits, yoga, mehendi, doll making, magneto therapy, naturopathy and health principles. The museum is also organising a special exhibition on `Chintalapally Art Creations'.

Orientation course

An orientation course for university and college teachers to make them aware of the latest developments in the field of higher education is to be held by the University Grants Commission-Academic Staff College of Osmania University from June 2 to 30. Theatre camp

The Confederation of Voluntary Organisations (COVA) is organising a one-month theatre camp for the youth of the Old City starting from May 5 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. everyday. Samsung, TMC offer

`The fast 25 offer', an attractive scheme for the first 25 buyers of Samsung 100hz projection television was jointly launched by Tirumala Music Centre (TMC) and Samsung India Electronics Limited here on Saturday. The winner would drive away with a bumper prize of Chevrolet car. Actress Riya Sen formally launched the scheme on Saturday.
