HYDERABAD, MAY 1. The Begum Bazar police booked a case against an IAS officer, K. Narayana, following a complaint lodged by his wife, K. Narmada, alleging that he was harassing and threatening to kill her. According to the police, the couple got married in 1999 in a temple. Later, Narmada gave birth to two children. In her complaint, she stated that Narayana refused to accept her as his wife and threatened to desert her. She alleged that he had even threatened to kill her. The Begum Bazar police registered case under sections 420, 498 (A) and 506 of the IPC against the IAS officer. No arrest has been made.
