THIRUVANANTHAPURAM May 1. The partial disruption of drinking water to many parts of the city, caused by a leak in a main pipeline ferrying water from Aruvikkara to the city, is likely to continue till Sunday afternoon. The 1200 mm pre-stressed concrete line had developed a leak at the Kummi area.According to KWA officials, a five-metre section of the damaged pipeline would be cut away and replaced with sections of mild steel (MS) pipeline which would later be welded together. This process is expected to take all of Sunday morning. Regular pumping on the repaired line would be effected by afternoon.
