Contract system taking shape: Nair
BANGALORE,
MAY 2.
The BCCI secretary S.K. Nair said that the issue of contract system with graded payments for players, is in its final stage. The Board secretary spoke to the media after the launch of the National Cricket Academy's training sessions here on Sunday.
"The contract system is being finalised and is in its documentation stage. Now that the players are also off cricket for the next one month, we (BCCI) have time to discuss it with them. Probably we may have the system ready in a month's time before the Asia Cup in July," he said.
S.K. Nair also mentioned that Pakistan's tour of India is tentatively scheduled for March 2005. "The Pakistan board is working on the schedule," he said.
