RAJAHMUNDRY, MAY 2. A pall of gloom descended on the house of K. Suryanarayana Murthy in Hukumpeta here. His son, KVVS Sastry (38), Sastry's wife, Shyamala, the couple's children, Kasyap (4) and Supreeta (1), Sastry's father-in-law, Bhagavatam Surya Rao (53) -- Assistant Manager in AP Paper Mills - and his wife, Venkata Lakshmi met with a tragic end at Alipiri near Tirupati when their car was hit by a Sumo coming from the opposite direction. According to family sources, Sastry, working with a bank in Khammam, had come here only a few days ago. The family members went to Tirumala and performed Kalyanam. In the early hours of today, they were proceeding to Kanipakam, another pilgrim centre which most pilgrims visit after the darshan of Lord Venkateswara, when the mishap occurred.
