By Our Staff Reporter
DINDIGUL, MAY 2. The Superintendent of Police, A. Jawahar Chandrasekaran, said a control room had been set up in the district police office to enable voters to lodge poll related complaints, if any. In a release here on Saturday, he said the Additional Superintendent of Police, Kayalvizhi, would head the room. Public and political parties might contact the room dialling 2461700 (0451). He said 64 polling stations in the Dindigul constituency and 50 in the Palani constituency were identified as "sensitive." The SP said that 161 cases had so far been filed for code violations in both the constituencies. Party men and candidates must adhere to guidelines to help police administration to conduct free and fair polls, he added.
