VIRUDHUNAGAR, MAY 2. Southern Railway Cooperative Society Basketball Club, Chennai, defeated TBA Club, Tuticorin 61-51and entered the quarterfinals of the second annual Hatsun Agro Products Limited Trophy State-level basketball tournament conducted by Kamaraj Basketball Club at S.P. Kothala Nadar Stadium, K.V. Sala Higher Secondary School, here on Sunday.

The results: (second round): Southern Railway Cooperative Society BC, Chennai 61 (Bose Rajesh 17, Pechi 12) bt TBA Club, Tuticorin 51 (Felix 11, Suresh 13).

Youngsters BC, Tuticorin 64 (Sunder 21, Kamal 10) bt Rajapalayam City BC, Rajapalayam 54 (Manikannan 28).

Saturday's results (first round): TBA Club, Tuticorin 51 (Balamurugan 12, Ramesh 12) bt Pattiveeranpatti BC 22 (Kabilan 8).

St. Mary's BC, Madurai 52 (Anbukumar 17, Sureshkumar 9) bt Winrose BC, Virudhunagar 27.

Kamaraj BC 39 (Muthu Jegan 14) bt Thirumangalam BC 15 (Yaser 10).
