Vinay, Aiyappa shine

BANGALORE, MAY 2. Vinay Uthappa's 78 and N.C. Aiyappa's four-wicket haul helped KSCA XI defeat Nepal by 67 runs in a practice match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Sunday. KSCA XI scored 280 for seven in 50 overs and restricted Nepal to 213 for eight in 50 overs. S. Veshwakar top-scored for the visitor with 86.

The scores: KSCA XI 280 for seven in 50 overs (Vinay Uthappa 78, Sudheendra Shinde 55, S.N. Amith 39, Deepak Chougule 34, Sudhir Rao 29 not out) bt Nepal 213 for eight in 50 overs (S. Veshwakar 86, Dipendra 50, N.C. Aiyappa four for 18).
