Indian girls lose
NEW DELHI,
MAY 4.
The third-seeded Indian girls suffered a 1-2 loss to the sixth-seeded Korea in a Group `III' league match of the Asia-Oceania junior Fed Cup tennis tournament in Nakorn Ratchasima, Thailand, on Tuesday.
India will take on Indonesia in the last league encounter. The top two teams from each group will make it to the knock-out phase.
The results: Korea bt India 2-1 (Hye-Mi Byun bt Madura Ranganathan 7-5, 6-1; Soon-Mi Seo bt Sanaa Bhambri 0-6, 6-0, 6-3; Hye-Mi Byun and Soon-Mi Seo lost to Sanaa Bhambri and Sandhya Nagaraj 6-7 (6), 6-4, 1-6).
