Compensation to accident victim's wife

VILLUPURAM, MAY 4. The Villupuram Collector, K. Gopal, on Monday gave away a compensation of Rs. 1,21,359 to Alagammal, whose husband, T. Mookkan, died in a road accident in Saudi Arabia about seven years ago.

A statement from the Collectorate said Mookkan, a resident of Madhavacheri in the Kallakurichi block, had gone to Saudi Arabia for a job. He met with an accident there on June 10, 1997 and died. The Saudi Arabian government had sanctioned the relief.
