LIC Kozhikode division's feat
KOZHIKODE: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Kozhikode Division, has achieved a target of 3.5 lakh policies covering an insurance sum of Rs. 3,000 crores in 2003-04, according to a release from the Senior Divisional Manager, T. C. Susheel Kumar. The Kozhikode division which covers the five districts of Malabar has done well in the sale of policies, and the insurance sum covered. The division stands first in business transactions in the Southern Region during March. The division has also earned the reputation of clearing all claims during the last financial year. This included Rs. 16.29 crores comprising 2,953 death claims, and Rs. 151.69 crores of 94,091 claims of which the term has been completed.
