Ever Ready blanks ITI

SHILLONG, MAY 4. Kolkata outfit Ever Ready thrashed ITI, Banglore, 3-0 in a Group `B' match of the Second Division National Football League at the JN Sports Complex here on Tuesday.

With this win, Ever Ready has seven points from three matches.

Surajit Chakroborty Jr put Ever Ready ahead in the 35th minute. Eugene Glah Gray scored the other two goals in the 51st and 88th minutes.

ITI, Bangalore got a few chances to reduce the margin but their attempts were foiled by a strong Ever Ready defence. The Bangalore outfit's Gopinath missed a sitter in the 21st minute, while Ashok Kumar's powerful volley was fisted away by the Kolkata goalkeeper Soumen Mandal in 62nd minute.
