By Our Staff Reporter
BANGALORE,
MAY 4.
The Minister for Urban Development, D.K. Shivakumar, has lodged a complaint against Marasandra Muniyappa, a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate from Sathanur Assembly Constituency, accusing Mr. Muniyappa of threatening to kill him and his family members.
In his complaint to the High Grounds Police, Mr. Shivakumar alleged that Mr. Muniyappa made a telephone call to his house on Monday and threatened him. Mr. Muniyappa, the Minister said, was convinced that he would not win the Assembly elections but he had lost lakhs of rupees and run into debt. He allegedly wanted the Minister to pay him money immediately.
