Cloudy sky forecast

A generally cloudy sky has been forecast for Wednesday with the maximum temperature hovering around 35 degree Celsius. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 32.0 degree Celsius and a minimum of 25.2 degree Celsius. The relative humidity stood at 73 per cent.

PG entrance test forms

Application forms of the Post Graduate Entrance 2004 will be accepted up to May 6 with a late fee of Rs. 100 and up to May 10 with a late fee of Rs. 300. The forms are available in the university press between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on all working days, according to a press note.

Summer camp for children

The Asa Bhanu Japan Centre is organising a four-day summer camp for students on `Japanese Culture' at its centre in Kamalapuri Colony from May 12.

Children will be exposed to the traditional arts and culture of Japan, according to the Director Naganath. Classes will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. More details can be had from the phone numbers 23541337 or 23542127.

Workshop for students

The Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, Ramakrishna Math, is organising a workshop on `Personality Development' for students on May 9. Those in the age group of 15 to 25 years can participate in the workshop on the Math premises. The workshop will deal with subjects like message of Swami Vivekananda to youth, leadership qualities, etc. Students may enrol themselves and collect free delegate passes before May 9.

Youth Trac directory

Youth Trac is compiling a directory containing information of welfare/voluntary organisations operating in the six mandals of the Old City -- Charminar, Golconda, Bahadurpura, Bandlaguda, Saidabad and Asifnagar.

Telugu varsity classes

The Centre for Distance Education, Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, will conduct contact classes for M.A. Jyotisham, first and second years, for the academic year 2003-04 from May 16 to 30 at the central office.

Students who have registered during the 2002-03 batch and who could not complete the course and wishing to appear for the 2003-04 annual examination can contact the centre Director for full particulars, according to a press release.

Blood donation camp held

On the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Armoured Corps, the armoured regiment located at Hyderabad organised a blood donation camp on Monday to help Thallasemia patients. The armoured regiment provided blood through the Institute of Transfusion Medicine and Research. All ranks of the regiment and their family members donated blood, according to a press release.
