Ban on smoking

Sir, — This refers to the Railways' decision to ban smoking on trains and railway premises. Preventing a smoker from taking his regular and `relaxing' puff, say after a meal, especially on long train travel, may induce undesirable effects in him. The Railways can consider having `Smoking Cars' .
