Olympic Day run on June 23

HYDERABAD, MAY 5. The Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association (APOA), on the instructions of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), will conduct the annual Olympic Day run at Hyderabad on June 23.

The run is to commemorate the founding of the International Olympic Committee by Baron Pierre de Coubertin in Paris on June 23, 1894.

The run will commence from various centres in the twin cities such as Charminar, Victory Playground YMCA Hyderabad, Mehdipatnam, Gandhi Statue Secunderabad and Bowenpally crossroads. All the runners from these points will finish at the Lal Bahadur stadium.
