BELGAUM, MAY 7. The District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner, B.S. Palaksha, has announced that prohibitory order under Section 144 of the Cr.PC will be imposed in the district from 6 a.m. on May 12 to 6 a.m. on May 16 in view of counting of votes to be taken up on May 13. Thus, public meetings, processions, etc., are prohibited during the period. The counting of votes for Belgaum Lok Sabha Constituency will be taken up at the Gogte Institute of Technology in Udyambag. Counting of votes for Chikkodi (SC) Lok Sabha Constituency will be taken up at the BK Arts and Commerce College and SB Kore Polytechnic in Chikkodi town, according to a press release here on Friday.
