Asian Paints gets APPCB funding

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) has selected an environmental project developed at the Asian Paints plant at Patancheru here for funding. According to a release issued here on Thursday, the project `Ultra filtration of apcolite machine colourant (AMC) wash water for recovery of pigments' on completion will concentrate the AMC wash water using the ultra filtration technology. AMC manufacturing would thereafter be a zero discharge process. It said the APPCB provided a Rs. 4.4 lakh grant for the project under the Cleaner Production Programme.
