BANGALORE, MAY 7. The accidental death of a Reliance engineer on Friday led the police to file a case against the company. According to the police, Balamurugan Dorairaj (27) had gone up a tower in Basaveshwarnagar 3rd stage, 3rd block, 10th main, at about 4 p.m. But he missed his steps and fell some 25 feet on to the terrace of a neighbouring building, the police said. Though he was admitted to hospital, Mr. Dorairaj succumbed to injuries. "He was an engineer, he had no work going up the tower. That work was meant for labourers. This means the company has been negligent in its duty. A case has now been filed against Reliance under Section 304 A of the IPC," the police added.
