NAGAPATTINAM, MAY 8. The police took out a flag march at Vedaranyam in Nagapattinam district today to instil confidence among the voters. Nearly 450 police personnel including those of the Tamil Nadu Special Police, the Armed Reserve and the Central Industrial Security Force took part in the march led by K.A. Abdul Rahuff, SP. The Returning Officer for the Mayiladuturai Lok Sabha constituency, M. Veera Shanmuga Moni, said elaborate security arrangements had been made in all polling stations. Campaign in the Mayiladuturai and Nagapattinam Lok Sabha constituencies came to an end this evening and no untoward incident was reported in the month-long campaign, police sources said.
