Jaffer Asique Ali's all-round show helped Majestic CC score a six-wicket win over Matha CC in the Erode District Cricket Association and Indian Bank cricket league match here recently.
The scores: Matha CC, Erode 191 for nine in 50 overs (Sanjeev 25, Sathya 35, Azeezulla 34, M. Pagalavan 46; A. Jaffer Asique Ali five for 31) lost to Majestic CC, Erode 194 for four in 34.5 overs (O. Susheel Kumar Varma 45, O. Pramod Kumar Varma 36 not out, A. Jaffer Asique Ali 55).
Bannariamman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam 154 all out (S. Srikkanth 41, L. Pradeep 37; Mohammed Raffiq four for 35) bt Majestic Cubs CC, Erode 146 all out (S. Meiyappan 40; R. Venkatesh four for 34, P. Pradeepkumar three for 16).
Master's CC, Erode 182 (Vinothan 42, Santhikumar 27; Chandra Prabhu four for 36) bt Bannariamman Institute of Technology, Sathy 162 (R. Venkatesh 39; Yogaraj four for 42).
