GUNTUR, MAY 9. Names of several VIPs figure in the diary of the People's War Krishnavanka Dalam Area Committee secretary, Sagar, which was found at the site of the exchange of fire at Pamidipadu in Bollapalli mandal in Guntur district on Tuesday last. "We have got some very important information about the extremist organisation's State-level meetings, while some of the information is in coded form," said the Superintendent of Police, Ravi Shankar Ayyannar. The diary contains details about their expenditure for various meetings, income and names of important contacts with their cell phone and landline numbers. The documents sent to Hyderabad were being scrutinised for further information on the PW strategies. Meanwhile, the district police was trying to identify the charred body of a suspected naxalite, who they believe could be the fifth one to die in Tuesday's exchange of fire. They also believe that it could be the body of an injured naxalite, who had escaped from Gandiganumala under the Bandlamotu police station limits in Bollapalli mandal during an exchange of fire on the day of polling. Some locals at Sholaipalem found the charred remains on Friday and the police was trying to establish the identity of the person.
