COIMBATORE, MAY 10 Coimbatore `B' will lock horns with Army Signals, Delhi, in the opening league fixture of the All India basketball tournament for the Nachimuthu Gounder Cup for men which begins at the VOC Park corporation basketball courts here from May 26. In the other matches, Coimbatore `C' will take on Diesel Locomotive Works, Varnasi; Indian Overseas Bank, Chennai, will clash with the winner of Coimbatore B versus Army Signals; Indian Bank, Chennai, meets EME, Bhopal; Coimbatore A will play Central Excise, Kochi; Indian Army, Delhi, take on Coimbatore D; ICF, Chennai, square with South Central Railway, Secunderabad. Eighteen teams from across the country have already confirmed their participation. Besides attractive cash prizes, the team that commits the least number of fouls will take home the Renuka Ramanathan Memorial Fairplay award. In the third All India tournament for the CRI Pumps Trophy for women, which begins on May 27, Central Railway meets Southern Railway; MTNL takes on Southern Railway and Raising Star plays Western Railway.
