CANDOLIM, MAY 10. Syed Ethashan of Yamaha stole the show in the final leg of the Goa Gold Cup Supercross championship organised by the Goa Motor Sports Association at Gomes track here on Sunday evening. Ethashan emerged the overall winner in the Indian experts group claiming the third place in the first moto and first spot in the second moto with an amazing performance. In the first moto (foreign class) it was TVS all the way with Rehman who maintained his lead. He went past the chequered flag in style with a triple jump. He was followed by Yogesh Barguje (Yamaha) and Ethashan. In the main race of the day, it was the Yamaha riders who took the lead from the start. Ethashan came from nowhere in the 5th lap to snatch the lead from T.K. Vishwanath and Yogesh Barguje. In the novice group D, Yamaha hogged the limelight with Mohammad Asgar (Yamaha) clinching top spot, followed by Bangalore's Joshua Pramod and K.P. Chandan (TVS). Syed Rehman (TVS) won the Indian Experts group B-2 stroke 8-150cc race with ease. Yogesh Barguje came in second and with T.K. Vishwanath claiming the third spot (both from Yamaha).
