Dakshina Kannada takes honours

MANGALORE, MAY 10. Host Dakshina Kannada bagged the overall team championships at the two-day State-level karate championships, which concluded here on Sunday.

The event was organised by the Institute of Karate and Allied Arts as part of its 15th anniversary celebrations in association with D.K District Karate Association. Katta competitions were held on the inaugural day and kumitai contest on Sunday. Circle Police Inspector, T.R. Jagannath, Secretary of Dakshina Kannada District Karmika Parishat, K.H. Munir Karnad were the chief guests at the valedictory function and gave away the prizes. .
