State Bank of Hyderabad pays 300 p.c.
HYDERABAD: State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) has reported a 26.48 per cent rise in net profit at Rs. 381 crores for the year ended March 31, 2004, against Rs. 301 crores in the previous year. Total business also reached a record Rs. 37,157 crores, reflecting a 19.5 per cent growth and is targeted at Rs. 44,300 crores this year.
The bank's net NPA came down to Rs. 77 crores (0.65 per cent) from 3.25 per cent, and it is hopeful of achieving `nil' NPA by September, according to A. G. Kalmankar, Managing Director. Addressing a press conference here, he said deposits grew by 18.34 per cent to Rs. 23,955 crores (Rs. 24,716 crores including inter-bank deposits). Its EPS was Rs. 2210 (for share face value Rs. 100), and book value Rs. 9,123. It declared a dividend of 300 per cent (100 per cent).
