Fernandes contacts Pawar

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI, MAY 11. The National Democratic Alliance convenor, George Fernandes, is said to have got in touch with the Nationalist Congress Party president, Sharad Pawar, as part of a process to garner support for the NDA in case it falls short of a majority in government formation.

Mr. Pawar, who is in Mumbai, is however, reported to have said that all efforts would be made to form a non-NDA government and that leadership was no issue.
