dated May 13,1954: Mid-day meals for children

The Corporation of Madras proposes to provide mid-day meals to a larger number of poor children, especially those belonging to the Scheduled Castes, studying in the Corporation schools, than during the last academic year, on the reopening of the schools in June.

A proposal is also being considered to provide clothes for poor children.
