KOTTAYAM, MAY 12. The meeting of the Syndicate of the Mahatma Gandhi University scheduled for Wedneday could not be held on account of lack of quorum. Only nine members attended the meeting today. The session was scheduled to be a pre-Senate meeting. In spite of the lack of quorum, the assembled members unanimously asked the authorities to enhance the remuneration for valuation of answer scripts. They have called for enhancement of the travel allowance to Rs.125 from Rs.100 and also a 50 per cent increase in remuneration for valuation of answer papers.
