VELLORE, MAY 12. U .Sridharan of Vani Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Gandhinagar, Vellore (1180 marks) who obtained the State second rank in the Plus-Two examinations held in March 2004 also has the distinction of having secured the Vellore district-level first rank. He scored centums in physics and chemistry. Ashok Kumar of Ramakrishna Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Arcot (1176 marks), got the district second rank, while C. Saranya of Shrishti Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Brammapuram (1170 marks), bagged the third rank in the district. The Correspondent of the Vani Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, S. Soundararajan, gave away a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 to Sridharan for having obtained the district-level first rank.
