dated May 14, 1954: The German Indian Prince

Two hundred claimants to the 2,500 million pounds fortune of an 18th century German butcher who became an Indian prince have formed a society at Wiesbrden (Germany) to find the rightful heirs. The man who left the fortune is said to have been a German named Reinhardt, who joined the East India Company in 1750 but ultimately worked against British rule. He was rewarded by one of the Moghuls with the princedom of Sardhana, near Delhi.
