This Day That Age
A fervent appeal to the people to contribute liberally to the Gandhi Memorial Fund for erecting a memorial prayer hall in Raj Bhavan, Guindy, was made by Mr. C. Rajagopalachari, addressing a meeting on May 12 at the St. Mary's Hall, George Town, Madras. He also stressed the need for inculcating bhakti in the minds of the people. The meeting, held under the auspices of the National Youth Congress and Bharatha Desa Valibar Sangham, was presided over by Mr. J. Sivashanmugham Pillai, Speaker, Madras Assembly.
