THRISSUR, MAY 13. Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Malappuram and Idukki moved into the quarterfinals in the boy's section in the State Youth basketball championship at the GHSS, Kandassankadavu here on Thursday.

The results: Boys: Pool A: Thiruvananthapuram 46 (A.S.Anish 13, Jasif 9) bt Thrissur 33 (Jobin17); Thrissur 47 (Jobin 14, Eudrick 12) bt Kottayam 28 (Albin 11, Mathew Paul 10).

Pool B: Alappuzha 53 (Jithin Das 20, Achil Joseph 13) bt Pathanamthitta 32 (Nirmal K.Mathew 12, Jose Kuriakose 9); Pathanamthitta 54 (Nirmal K.Mathew 30, Nelson Jose 12) bt Ernakulam 42 (Easy ashilin 16, C.E.Evin 14).

Pool C: Malappuram 36 (Sreedhar 12, Robin James 9) bt Kollam 17 (Jayadevan 6); Kollam 14 (Jijo 8) bt Kozhikode 10.

Pool D: Idukki 39 (Jaffer P.Hamsa 23, Darwin 8) bt Kasargod 25 (Sujith 7); Waynad 28 (Martin Philip 15) bt Idukki 18 (Jaffer P.Hamsa 11).

Girls: Kottayam 32 (Rinsmol Thomas 11) bt Alappuzha 5; Alappuzha 27 (Divya Sreenivasan 10) bt Thrissur 24 (K.R.Neethu 13).
