A severe blow to AIADMK: Janakiraman

PONDICHERRY, MAY 13. Former Chief Minister and convener of the Pondicherry Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, R.V. Janakiraman, today hailed the cent per cent success of the Democratic Progressive Alliance led by the DMK in the Lok Sabha poll in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

In a release Mr.Janakiraman said the `misconceived' policies and unpractical approach on the part of the BJP met with a fiasco at the poll. The people have also dealt a severe blow to the AIADMK. The AIADMK regime in Tamil Nadu had sought to crush all sections of people including the media, the government staff, farmers and handloom weavers and student community.

Former Minister and senior Congress leader, P. Kannan said that he had good regard and respect for the Prime Minister Vajpayee. He that there was going to be a Congress-led government under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi at the Centre. He suggested that the new dispensation obtained the advice of Vajpayee an experienced and seasoned leader.

The president of the Pondicherry Pradesh Congress committee, V. Narayanasamy, today expressed his gratitude to the voters of Pondicherry for their verdict in favour of the PMK nominee, M. Ramadoss.
